Camaraderie and Brotherhood
What's it mean?
The word brotherhood can take on many different meanings & seem somewhat ambiguous based on conventional definition. Quite simply, we view brotherhood as the process of extending and growing the family circle - treating each of our "brothers" with the respect & honor we do our blood relatives. While this concept may seem difficult to comprehend, you might consider discussing it with someone who is a member of a fraternity - or better yet, come out & see it in action at our house!
Activities and support.
We plan a number of formal brotherhood activities throughout the year that provide opportunities to enhance bonds with members of both your own class, as well as those above & below. We put significant focus on making sure that everyone has opportunities to cultivate relationships & learn from every member of the house - regardless of age.
Friends of all ages.
You will find that many Seniors have best friends that are Sophomores or Freshmen. Its common for a group of roommates to all be from different classes - which is great for integrating everyone in house. This no class distinction we continue to achieve is especially apparent when looking at the "young alumni" - many of whom live, work & continue to spend lots of times with brothers of all different ages.
Distinguished company.
With well over 2,000 initiates to the Alpha Rho Chapter at UW - the decision to join this brotherhood reaches far beyond your time as an active member. The continued support of a large & successful group of local alumni is proof positive that members become Theta Chi's For Life. We actively engage alumni through Career Nights, Alumni Speaker Panels, our Annual Homecoming Celebration, Mariner games, golf tourneys & many other networking events.
Experiencing college with the support & guidance of a large brotherhood makes the journey meaningful, fun & rewarding - an experience we are proud to provide to all members of our house.
