All awards are per quarter (3 total: Autumn, Winter, Spring) and winners must maintain eligibility throughout the entire academic year to receive all credits. Awards will not be disbursed for summer quarter.
Grand Prize Winner (Up to2):
Total award of $6,750 per winner : Per quarter, each winner would receive $1,500 Housing credit at Theta Chi Fraternity, $600 Tuition credit, $150 text book stipend.
First Prize Winner (Up to 2):
Total award of $1,500 per winner : Per quarter, each winner would receive $350 tuition credit & $150 text book stipend.
Second Prize Winner: (Up to 3):
Total award of $900 per winner : Per quarter, each winner would receive $150 tuition credit & $150 text book stipend.
Find Out If You're Eligible
The Helping Hand Scholarship is open to those who meet the following criteria :
• Incoming Freshman Undergrads enrolled at UW Seattle Campus for the current academic year.
• Have at least a 3.0 GPA prior to matriculating to UW Seattle.
• History as a leader in community and/or extracurricular activities.
How It Works
It’s easy to submit your application for the Helping Hand Scholarship. Here’s how the selection process works:
Accepted April through July each year.
Final dates to submit application will be communicated on Twitter.
Applicants must submit :
1. A copy of official transcript from all institutions of higher learning prior to UW Seattle enrollment.
2. A letter of recommendation from a school official.
3. A completed Scholarship Application
• Semi-Finalists Selected
Semi-finalists will be notified via e-mail.
• Finalists Selected
All finalists will be interviewed in person or via video conference.
• Winners Notified
Winners will be notified by August each year.
